- A Sitges photography tour to explore an amazing coastal town
- Discover historical places and famous architectural sites
- Find a quiet place in stark contrast with the hustle and bustle of Barcelona center
Located just 38 km from Barcelona there is a little coastal town named Sitges surrounded by the beautiful Garraf mountains where some incredible photography spots will be waiting. It is quiet and well communicated with Barcelona by train and has an awesome climate with a clean sky and nice weather all year round.
In matter of beaches there is plenty of choice, San Sebastian beach offers a great panorama of the city and also has a great viewpoint with a nice plaza that opens to the sea.
Sitges has many amazing visual elements. To start we recommend a visit to the city’s historical part beginning from the square Plaça Cap de la Vila where the Torre del Reloj (Clock tower) offers a good photography spot.
Street Carrer Major stretches from there to the littoral and is filled with nice village houses, tiny old streets and façades with old inscriptions and mosaics. We can have a nice photography from the Church of Sant Bartomeu, just try to get the right angle and perspective from the staircase that is to one side (see here below). I was lucky enough to capture the sky covered by thick clouds in a rainy day.
The old Raco de la Calma and Plaza del Baluard, hide some of the best secret spots of the city.
If you decide to enter Casa Bacardi you can enjoy a guided tour inside the museum and in the end practice your cocktail skills and taste the best mojito and other cocktail drinks prepared by their staff. Some nice shots can be taken inside with the Bacardi logo and the drink in a first plane.
In the end you can enjoy a nice lunch at some of the good restaurants of the area located in the littoral or have a bath in the water as long as the day and weather allows it
